cartbottles.jpgDeath Outside the U.S.
In the case of an unexpected international death families are usually trying to come to grips with the reality of what has happened. When a U.S. citizen dies abroad, making arrangements for final disposition then becomes very involved. Dealing with international processing can become confusing. Frequently local countries will not allow the burial of foreigners. Preparation of the deceased is always in accordance to local laws, regulations, and customs. If the decision is made to return the deceased to the United States, making the necessary travel arrangements can be overwhelming. Allow our staff’s expertise to guide you through the process. We can assist you with contacting the appropriate agencies, the processing of local documents or certificates, and identify the restrictions and/or requirements for transporting a loved one back home. Our staff is available on a 24-hour basis and may be reached at (402) 391-1664 during any family emergency.

International Burials
Returning a loved one to their native land provides comfort to their family and friends. It is often a requirement for the deceased to have a native connection to the country of preferred disposition. A few countries may allow the burial of foreigners. If you wish to explore this as an option we can assist you with securing the appropriate paperwork.
