Why Bereavement Services?
We learn how to live with our losses by gathering strength from the resources around us: our own personal strengths, our value systems, our family, friends and community. The presence of those who are walking a similar path can bring great comfort and be a source of new friendships.
The purpose of our 6-week program is to provide you with a safe haven, a place to listen or talk with others who have also experienced a loss. What is this grieving process all about? We discuss this and learn about the powerful healing systems inside each of us.
What to Expect
- An open group format for adults who have experienced a death
- Support and socialization
- Help in understanding the grief process
- A trained bereavement facilitator to lead the peer support sessions
- Assistance in locating additional support resources and material
- Availability to all – there is no cost to attend
What Others Say
"I like the meetings because we are not expected to share feelings unless we are comfortable. Just being there, listening and reading the materials bring me a sense of peace."
"This support group has been an invaluable source of comfort for me. I know others will agree with me that you have helped us through the most difficult part of losing a loved one."
