Preceded in death by son, Eric Harrison; parents, Milton and Dorothy Caplan.

Survived by husband, Paul Widinski; grandsons, Holden and Trevor Harrison.

Services: Memorial service Saturday, 10:30am at the John A. Gentleman Bellevue – Sarpy County Chapel. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.


Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie; siblings, Baby Howard, Arden, Earl, Mabel, Violet, Elmer and Ruby; grandson, Austin.
He is survived by his children, Curt, Mike and Arden (Karen Whitehill) Swanson; grandchildren, Dustin, Alison, Brett (Audra), Colleen (Brady), Brandon and James; great grandchildren, Natalie, Tobin, Riley, Emberly, Owen and Brinley; siblings, Bill, Leona, Marlene, Howard and June.
Lee was born in Russell, MN to Olaf and Minnie (Christiansen) Swanson. He joined the US Army in 1945 at Ft. Bragg, NC and was honorably discharged in April of 1947. He was married Marjorie Kennedy on December 17, 1949 in Council Bluffs, IA until her death on September 22, 1993.
Lee worked as a farm hand, heavy equipment operator, auto body repair technician, door to door salesman before spending 39 wonderful years at OPPD.
Home and family were always his priority. He loved caring for his beautiful home and being a great host along with his wife, his very best friend of 45 years.

Carlson, Jerry R. Age 84

Services: Funeral Service Wednesday, 11:00am at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 South 114th St, Omaha, NE.

Visitation: Visitation with the family Tuesday 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the John A. Gentleman Pacific Street Chapel.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Jerry was an avid Husker fan who loved to travel, dance and golf. He was a US Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War. Jerry graduated from Peru State University and began his career teaching as well as coaching high school football in Iowa. His later careers included real estate and sales. Jerry was a member of his church for over 25 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Sixton and Violet Carlson; brother, Jarl Carlson.
Survived by his wife, Mary; children, Mike Carlson, Kathy (Charles) Stracuzzi, and Barb (O’Dell) Isaac; grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Isaac; brother, Calvin (Donna) Carlson; nieces and nephews.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church.

Visitation: Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 25th from 5 – 7 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery

Memorials: Memorials to Brownell Talbot School, V.J and Angela Skutt Catholic High School or Methodist Hospital Comfort Care program.

Preceded in death by husband Thomas J. Skutt, Sr., parents Hugh and Lillian Plunkett, brothers Hugh V. Plunkett,  Jr., Richard Plunkett, and Roger Plunkett.

She is survived by her children Mary Elizabeth Skutt Sutton, Kimberly Ann Davis (Jay), Thomas J. Skutt, Jr. (Natalie),  brother Warren F. Plunkett of Austin, MN., grandchildren Jeanne, Bradley, and William Sutton; J.B. and Laura Davis; Whitney, Thomas III, Connor, Felicity, Patience, Khloe, and Justice Skutt; step grandchildren Jacob, Kaitlin, and Cale (Mackenzie) Nowak, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services: Memorial Service Friday, July 28, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Morning Star Lutheran Church, Omaha, NE.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Morning Star Lutheran Church.

Visitation:  Memorial Visitation Thursday, July 27, 2017, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John A. Gentleman Pacific St. Chapel.


Born June 3, 1939 - Entered into rest July 18, 2017.  Predeceased by his father Vernon C. Miller, mother Gladys M Lynn, Sister Karen M Hurt and great grandson Carson Clem Wrabetz.  

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Gloria, daughters Kim(Chris)Burnett, Michelle (Darrell) Miller of Omaha, Beth Miller of Phoenix AZ, and son John(Teresa)Matuza of Suffield CT and step sister Shari Naviaux of Centerville MA, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren,  1 niece and 1 nephew and many friends.  

In March 2007 before surgery he penned these words:

"DecoratedMarineCorps vet, Proud to serve and loved his country.  Greatest moment in his life was accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior.  Most cherished decoration was Sikorsky Life Saver Pin.  Best earthly happening was meeting his wife Gloria."

He truly loved the Lord, his family and Country and was an inspiration to so many.  

He was an active member of Morningstar Lutheran Church serving in many areas and many military related organizations.
