Aileen Nystrom worked as a teacher, supervisor, and an administrator for Omaha Public Schools.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Nystrom) Modica; grandchildren, Michael, Michaela, Matthew John, and Marena; son-in-law, Matt; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Straub; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, John and Restora Shannon; brother, John; beloved aunt, Mary Elizabeth; and companion, Harry Wolfson.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM with a wake service at 7 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015 at John A. Gentleman 72nd Street Chapel.
Services will be 11 AM Monday at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 1920 N 102nd Street, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials suggested to the Omaha Schools Foundation.
