Allen (Mike) Rowland

Allen (Mike) Rowland, 73, formerly of Norfolk, Nebraska, passed on January 26th 2018 in Omaha.

Mike was born September 9, 1944 in Norfolk to Elmer (Butch) and Flora Rowland.

Mike worked his Uncle Irv’s family farm from a boy into his adult years; served four years in the United States Navy at Pearl Harbor Hawaii as a field medical dental technician, and spent 25 years with the Postal Service before retiring in 1992.

Mike built his dream log home in Norfolk with his wife Dianne, and spent many wonderful years there before moving to Omaha in 2011. Mike’s passions were his family, baseball, the Huskers, and ketchup (not necessarily in that order).

He is survived by his wife Dianne, three daughters, Meredith (Chad Evert), Michele (Tony Schmidt), Megan (Charlie Vogt), 3 adult step children Craig Coulter (Laura), Chad Coulter (Barb), and Melissa (Randy Titus), 16 grandchildren and his sister, Margie (Ken Schmidt)…

He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle Irv.
