Angela Vitale Starke-Mainelli

Age 91, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Santa Barbara, California. Angela was born on April 26, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Onofrio and Stella Vitale. Angela was employed at Sangamo Electric; the State of Illinois Youth Commission in Springfield IL., and the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida. She also worked at the American Cement Co. in San Francisco, CA. Angela attended Northwestern University and earned her Bachelor's degree at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. She married Howard Starke and he preceded her in death in 1999. She later married Vincent Mainelli and he preceded her in death in 2010. Angela was noted for her philanthropy and was instrumental in establishing Dominic's Place of Hope in Corpus Christi, Texas and the Father John Bolin Faculty Award Program at Chaminade University. Angela was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Anne Richards and brother, Dominic Vitale. She is survived by her sister, Marie Randazzo of Springfield, Illinois and brother, Mario Vitale of Pittsfield, Illinois, several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
