Beth M. Sommer

Beth was born in Omaha to Marion and Beulah Malone. She was raised in Dunlap, IA and graduated from Dunlap High School in 1974. She married Jim in February of 1991 and raised her two girls while working a variety of jobs. Her occupations ranged from Dubuque, Baum Iron, Schering Plough and Steve’s Service and retired in 2022. Beth enjoyed drives in the country, shopping, sewing and spending time with her nephews, nieces and grandkids.

Survived by husband, Jim; daughters, Stephanie Henderson (Shane Pruss) and Valerie (Ron) Olson; grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Shawn, Justin and Hunter Pruss; brother, Victor (Jayna) Malone; sister, Mary (Calvin) Glidden; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Marion and Beulah Malone; sister, Ruthann Malone; infant brother, Arlos Malone; niece, Debbie Malone; and beloved dog, Max.

Beth's Celebration of Life Dinner will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 5:00PM.
