Bruce Severson

Bruce died October 29, 2024, at Esprit Whispering Ridge Assisted Living in Omaha, NE, where he had been living for the two years. He was 73 years old and he will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Omaha.

Bruce grew up in Albert Lea, MN. He played high school football and continued to stay in touch with his Albert Lea buddies, seeing them on a regular basis. He married Peggy Ohlgren December 28, 1974 in Shoreview, MN. They were happily married for 32 years, until Peggy’s death in 2007. He worked as an accountant, becoming the comptroller of Midwest Walnut for nearly 30 years. 

Bruce is survived by daughters, Kim (Matt) McBee and Becca (Bill) Wert; grandchildren, Tessa and Isaac McBee; brothers, Bob (Vickie) Severson, Michael Severson; sister Colette Pooley; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Bruce was preceded in death by is spouse, Peggy; parents, Noble and Lucille; grandparents; brothers Rodney Severson, Gary Severson, Neil Severson; Sister Rosalie Wolff.
