Christopher Scott Thompson, 60, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on September 14, 2024.
Scott was born on April 26, 1964 to Barbara and Ray Thompson in Lincoln, Nebraska. After Scott graduated from Creighton Prep in 1982, he started working at OPC Direct (formerly Omaha Paper Company) in sales, where he was just shy of celebrating his 40th anniversary in December. Scott met Julie and in 1986 they were married and went on to have four children, Matthew, Andrew, Jennifer, and Jack. Scott enjoyed sharing his love of soccer with his children, coaching various teams throughout their childhoods, playing golf, spending time with friends and family at Ginger Cove, fishing (whether it was deep sea or muskie), and creating memories with his grandchildren. Scott was predeceased by his father, Ray Thompson, and brother, Paul Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Julie; his children, Matthew (Tanin), Andrew (Lacey), Jennifer (Justin), and Jack (Kelsey); his grandchildren (Audri, Joslyn "Jozzy", Weston, and Howell); his mother, Barbara; his brother, Mike; his sister, Leslie; and many other family and friends.
If you had the opportunity to meet Scott, he had a powerful presence and there will forever be a gap in our hearts in his absence.
