Papillion, NE. Veteran of the US Army, Calvin served during the Korean War. He worked for Illinois Central as a Railroad Section Foreman, at Kelly Springfield Tire Co in many capacities, including Department Foreman, and self employed as a Home and Lawn maintenance service company. Calvin loved hunting and the outdoors. He will be fondly remembered as a jack of all trades, willing to help anyone who asked, and his passion for repurposing. Calvin was the only person with a carpeted garage-nothing was garbage until he said it was! He was a faithful member of Schapville Presbyterian Church in his youth and of the Scales Mound United Methodist Church in married life.
Preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Bahr; parents, Herbert and Bernice (Stadel) Bahr; sister, Verlea Heller. Survived by son, Calvin K. (Ellen) Bahr; daughter, Courtney K. (Joe) Raab; grandchildren: Wendy Bahr, Bobbie Jo Bahr, Amber (Ricardo) Serenil, Jeffery Raab and Alicia (Blake) James; great grandchildren: Seth, Amarhea, Mariana and Leonardo; sisters, Bernita Bourquin, Alberta Tyson and Lea Mea Anderberg. The world lost one of the good ones.
