Preceded in death by his loving wife, Walpurga. Survived by his children, Carla (Roger) Powell and Carl, Jr. (Karen) Bortol; grandchildren, Jamie (Jeff) Ziemba, David Yost, Julie (Kris) Day, Jeff Yost, Bryan (Emily) Bortol; great grandchildren, Sidney, Cole and Ian; and his beloved dog, Muffy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

Services:

11:00 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Heritage Pointe Assisted Living, 16811 Burdette Street.

Visitation:

Beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, before the service.
