Cora May (Thompson) Miller

It is with great sadness that we announce Cora (Thompson) Miller, a beloved wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away on July 26th, 2024 at the age of 88 years; 11 months. 

Cora was the last living child of Jacob and Stella Thompson (12 siblings and 3 half siblings).

 She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Don; children: Sandy (Pat) Piper; Sheryl (Doug) Czyz; and Brian (Rhonda) Miller; grand-children; Nicole (Chris) Rucker; Travis Miller; Lindsay Miller; Adam Miller (fiancé Courtney); Lindsay (Brett) Love; Elizabeth (Thomas) Coleman; and Tanner Czyz; great grandkids: Colton; Kimberlyn; Brandon; McKinzey; Savannah; and Paisley.

 Grandma Cora was famous for her apple bars; chocolate chip cookies; coffee cake and hop toads. Cherished memories were made in her kitchen either baking or making crafts during sleepovers or play-days with Grandma. She was a tough as nails-no-nonsense lady who spoke her mind and was not afraid of hard work. As the consummate caregiver, Cora struggled with being on the receiving end. Family and loved ones will hold her close in our hearts until we meet again on the other side.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be used for a Memorial Tree to be planted in honor of Cora and donated to the church they belonged to for 60+ years. Memorials or tributes may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church in Ralston, Nebraska.
