David Lee McVey, age 81 years, was born on November 6, 1942 to Kenneth and Naomi (Ferguson) McVey in San Francisco, California. He attended schools in California and Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science. He also received a Master of Science degree from Cambridge University in England. The Air Force called him to duty on November 17, 1967 and he faithfully carried out those duties for 22 years, retiring on May 31, 1989. He married the love of his life, Glenna Elaine Perryman on November 22, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. Dave was an Eagle Scout, he loved to scuba dive and travel. He also enjoyed football and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. Dave passed away in Bellevue, Nebraska on October 6, 2024. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Lindsay; grandsons, Qwire and Samuel; sisters Cherylynne McVey and Julienne (McVey) Banthrum and brother-in-law, Kenneth; their beloved Coco Chanel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Glenna Elaine Perryman (GEM), age 78, was born on April 18, 1946 to Barbara Cox in Decatur, Illinois. She graduated from Inglewood High School in Inglewood, California in 1965. She married the love of her life, David Lee McVey, on November 22, 1967 in Los Angeles, California and became a devoted military wife traveling the world. She was a member of the Officer’s Wives Club, the Eastern Star, PEO, the Lion’s Club, Daughter's of the King Prayer Group, and many other community organizations. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and Bridge. She was a Teammate and loved helping her students. Glenna worked at Papillion-LaVista High School for many years. They were members of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. GEM passed away in Bellevue, Nebraska on October 10, 2024. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Lindsay; grandson, Qwire and Samuel; brother Mark Davis and sister-in-law Maureen; nephew John Davis; their beloved Coco Chanel; many cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be November 1, 2024 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 1305 Thomas Drive, Bellevue, 12:00 p.m,. with burial and military rites at 3:30 at the Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Holy Spirit in Bellevue, Teammates Mentoring or Raptor Resource Project (PO Box 16 Decorah, IA 52101)
