David J O'Kane

David was born in Sheldon, IA and raised in Hospers, IA. He graduated from Spalding Catholic High School, Granville, IA in 1969. Attended Institute of Business in Des Moines. He worked in Des Moines, IA, Sioux Falls, SD, and Baltimore, MD before making Bellevue, NE his home. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Frances O’Kane; brother, Dennis O’Kane. Survived by siblings: Mary (Tom) Budden of Granville, IA, Jim (Sue) O’Kane of Urbandale, IA, and Donna (Mike) Shea of LeMars, IA; sister in law, Meme Kruger of Battle Lake, MN; 10 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews.



Memorial Mass Thursday, Feb 16, 2017 at 2PM with visitation 1 hour prior at 1PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church 12210 S. 36th St, Bellevue, NE. Burial of the urn at a later date at St. Anthony Cemetery in Hospers, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
