Diane Webb (nee Lane), age 76, a resident of Bellevue, NE since 2006, passed away July 4, 2018. She was born on December 25, 1941 in New York City to the late Mae and John S. Lane Jr. She grew up the third oldest of seven in Omaha, NE, and accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 10 while attending a Salvation Army Vacation Bible School.
Immediately upon graduating from Omaha Technical High School in 1959 she began her career as an executive assistant working for the Department of the Army in the Pentagon. She married and had two beautiful sons, Patrick and Greg Webb.
Diane went through a long, difficult period in her life when she was far from home, ill and going through a family crisis. After eight years, the Lord healed her and within several years she and her sons moved to Naperville, Illinois to be closer to family.
Diane worked for AT&T Lucent Technologies and graduated from the Institute for Management at Illinois Benedictine University. Her love of God and faith in Jesus grew as she participated in mission trips in Germany, Belgium and India as a member of Calvary Temple, Assemblies of God Church. She retired from Lucent in 1997 and followed her dream of sharing the Gospel to the broken hearted.
She attended Ministry Courses at Berean University, and received her License to Preach on May 20, 1997. She taught Bible Studies, Classes in Boundaries and facilitated a 12 Step Support Group at Calvary Temple Church in Naperville.
She served on staff at the American Indian College in Phoenix, AZ, sharing her faith and experience to equip Native American students for Christian service. Diane returned to Nebraska as a Chaplain for Market Place Ministry and the Railroad and was an active member of the Spirit Life Church in Bellevue. She was Ordained as an Assemblies of God Minister in Springfield, MO, April 16, 2012 and continued to share her gift of healing and intercessory prayer.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mae and John S. Lane, Jr, her brother, John S. Lane, III, her sister Toni Cooper, and her son Greg Webb. She is survived by her son Patrick Webb, and granddaughter, Sara Katherine Ross. She is also survived by her two brothers, Patrick (Karen) Lane and Michael Lane, her sisters, Becky Jo (George) Elster, and Rene (Joe) Laird.
She is also survived by a large family which includes many nieces and nephews, and friends. Diane was a faith-filled loving person who enjoyed listening, encouraging and praying for people. She was extremely sensitive to the broken hearted and was able to show mercy, loving-kindness and compassion because of the strength, hope and tenderness she received from God.
