Dolores “Dee” Haniszewski passed from this life at the age of 85 on Sunday, June 26th surrounded by her adoring husband, Robert, and 7 children. Dee was born into a large and loving family in Omaha to Lawrence and Josephine Brennan. She was one of nine siblings: Jack, Kit, Jim, Janny, Larry, Dennis, Terry, and Peggy. She attended St. Mary’s High School and, as a young woman, spent her time at Hanscom Park ice skating with friends. It was there she was swept off her feet by Bob, the love of her life. They married on May 28, 1955. She was a member of St. Pius X for over 60 years.
Her calling in life was raising her seven children. Later in life, you might find her spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved like her own. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and selfless love shown clearly to her friends, her children, her children’s children, and their children.
Dee is survived by husband, Bob; children: Mark (Jennifer), Marty (Heather) Laurie (Steve) Christensen, Matt (Jane), Trish (Jeff Waddington), Chris (Jim) Mann, Bob (Amy Dawson); 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Josephine Brennan, siblings Jack, Jim, Kit, Dennis, and Janny; daughter-in-law Jodi.
