Preceded in death by wife, Polly; son, Donald, Jr.; daughter, Lauren Fangman Walkup; grandson, Mark Musacchio; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kay (Dr. Richard) Kay Tighe. Survived by daughter, Patrice Fangman; son-in-law, Keith Walkup; grandchildren, Ashley, Lori and Clint Walkup, Shannon (Adam) Herink; four great grandsons; siblings, Dr. Richard Fangman, Dr. Thomas (Barbara) Fangman, Dr. Terrance (Toni) Fangman, Marguerite Stejskal, Dr. Michael Fangman, Mrs. Patricia (Lloyd) Courage; nieces and nephews. Dr. Fangman was a graduate of Creighton University and a 1951 graduate of the Creighton School of Medicine, where he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. For 42 years Dr. Fangman practiced medicine in Dallas, TX. From 1957 until his retirement in 1999 he was on staff at several hospitals including, Medical City Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital, Parkland Hospital and St. Paul Hospital. He served as President of the Staff at St. Paul Hospital from 1970-1971. He served as Chief of Staff for the OB-GYN Residency Program at the St. Paul Hospital. In 1979, he was honored to be listed in the Best Doctors in America publication. During his years of Medicine, he was very proud of the fact that he assisted in bringing thousands of babies into the world. In 2005, Dr. Fangman returned to his hometown, Omaha where he continued his favorite endeavor, Golf, with his brothers and brothers-in-law. Dr. Fangman wanted everyone to know how proud he was to be in the Fangman family. He wished to tell everyone that he loved them and wanted to say good bye.
