Dorothy J. Tanner

Tanner, Dorothy Julia Gilmore Age 104. Left us on March 21, 2015 in Elk Grove, CA. Preceded in death by dear husband, Herbert. Survived by her beloved daughters, Jane (William Hable) Tanner of Milwaukee, WI, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Atkins of Elk Grove, CA; grandchildren Katherine, Joseph, John, Lucas and Lauren; four great-grandchildren. Remembered by many beloved nieces and nephews and Elk Grove companions Carol, Beverly, Francine, Betty and Kena. She was born and raised in Omaha, where she too raised her family, worked as a stockbroker until age 70 and then retired to enjoy her extended family and many friends. At age 90, she moved to CA to live with her daughter, where she spent her last years happily surrounded by family. "A good mom is the sweetest part of your life's story."
