Age 75 of Omaha, passed away at home on December 13, 2023.
He was born in Paris France, but growing up in New York just a few blocks from the "house that Babe built”, Alain was a lifelong Yankees fan. His love of sports stayed with him, and he enjoyed attending games at Creighton, particularly basketball and baseball, most often with his brother and son. Alain had an evolving interest in photography and looked forward to that being an avocation in retirement. He was an undeniable World War II history buff, although books of many topics were "near and dear". There was never a time when he did not have two novels and multiple medical journals "going at once". Alain had an admiration for the Omaha Playhouse and was looking forward to far more travel in the future.
Dr. Taylon began medical school at the University of Belgium and graduated from Rush Medical School in Chicago. His advanced training was completed at Creighton University, and the Medical College of Virginia. He became a Fellow of the American Society of Endocrinology. The majority of his career was served in Omaha, and he was currently still practicing with CHI at the time of his passing. Dr. Taylon truly cared about his patients, colleagues, and assistants. He expressed much sadness when becoming suddenly ill that he was unable to bid them farewell.
Alain was an exceptional family man, and an extremely accomplished physician whose life is impossible to sum up in a few paragraphs, he will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to sincerely thank the many healthcare providers from the Nebraska Cancer Center, CHI Clinics and Hospital, and home care agencies who shared their expertise with Alain and his family throughout his illness.
