Edward F. Bathen

Edward Frederick Bathen, age 70, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on February 14, 2022.



He was preceded in death by parents, John and Mary Bathen and sister, Margaret Andrews. Survived by daughter, Kristie Johnson; siblings, James (Lynette) Bathen, Teresa Sanders, Joseph Bathen, Judith (Bill) Schwartz, Elizabeth Bathen, Ann (Bryan) Boyd, Christine (Rick) Winther, brother-in-law John Andrews; nieces and nephews.



Ed was a graduate of Creighton Prep, studied at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and proudly served in the National Guard. Throughout the years, he was a printer by trade, a small business owner and retired after 12 years from Omaha Steaks as a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and was a skilled and avid pool player.



A Celebration of Life and sharing of memories for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 26th from 5-9 at VFW Post 2503 - 8904 Military Rd, Omaha, NE.





Graveside service/interment for family and friends will be on Friday, March 25 at 12 noon at Resurrection Cemetery, 7800 W Center Rd, Omaha, Ne 68124 (entrance off of Center Street).





In lieu of flowers, family has requested Memorial contributions be made to either the Gary Sinese Foundation, Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home or if you would like to assist with burial expenses, the family will take contributions at the Celebration of Life.
