Our loving mother passed away peacefully on April 28th at Aksarben Village surrounded by her family. We are grateful for her beautiful 97 years, entertaining us with her wit and wisdom just a few days earlier. After surviving a challenging first decade , mom combined her two passions of life long learning and compassion for her fellow human being.
Throughout her life, she emanated peace and serenity returning it in multiples to her many dear friends, Aksarben Village staff and her family. She was known for her forgiveness and non judgmental style, she was curious and interested in all she met and the big world around her. She was an animal lover! Mother to many, friend to all , she will be dearly missed but she will be celebrated forever.
Ellen was preceded in death by husband, Charles R. Neary; parents, Peter and Margaret Rosell; brother, Tom Rosell; loving aunts, Nell and Nora.
She is survived by her children, Nonie (John) Brown, Nancy Neary, R.J. (Liz) Neary, DeeDee (Jeff) Cooper, Tom (Peggy) Neary, Shauna (Rick) Hautzinger; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aksarben Village Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care.
