Francis Dean Fisher

Francis D. Fisher was born January 15, 1932, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Fairbury was Francis’ hometown, where he graduated from Fairbury High School. From there, he enlisted into the Navy for four years, exiting with an honorable discharge. Following his time in the Navy, he met Carolyn Fisbeck, married June 2, 1957, in Fairbury. They were blessed with 5 children. Francis completed his schooling at the University of Kearney, and was a tax accountant until he retired. Francis passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family.



Francis was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fisher, sister Delores, and brother Ronald. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Carolyn, children Jeff (Leslie), Steve (Susan), Kellie (Russ), Bob (Kris), and Teresa (Darrell), siblings Roger (Barb), Joan, and Karen, grandchildren Michelle Heston (Matt), Matthew Severa, Daniel Severa (Katie), Jason Severa (Ashley), Brittney Laber (Anthony), Kristin Severa, Ryan Fisher, Brandon Nore (Ashley), Megan Grant (Josh), Jordan Fisher (Molly), Chelsea Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, Cole Rahe and 20 great grandchildren.
