Frank John Kern
June 13, 1931 – July 26, 2018
Bellevue, Nebraska. Veteran of the US Air Force. Retired after 32 years from the University of Missouri-Rolla as a Professor of Electrical Engineering. He was an avid carpenter, electrician, gardener and loved puns. He was also an accomplished clarinetist.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; sisters, Christelle Kern, Genevieve Vliet and Frances Mae Jackson. Survived by daughters, Melissa (Jeff) Duncan and Marguerite (Dave) Theisen; grandchildren: Lauren, Brianna, Timothy, Katharine and Andrew; 7 great grandchildren; friend and companion, Debbie Hunsberger.
Memorial Service August 11, 2018 at 10AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church 5529 Leavenworth St, Omaha, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha Endowment Fund. Inurnment at a later date in Oklahoma City, OK.
