Navy veteran and retired from the Bellevue Police Department after 32 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Della Burnett; brothers, Bob and Chuck Burnett. Survived by wife, Rita; daughter, Deanna Laux; sons, Steve (Suzi) Burnett and Lance (Dana) Burnett; grandchildren: Bryan (Allie) Laux, Alisa (Justin) Pinkerton, Evan (Melissa) Laux, Derek Laux, Chaney Laux, Adam (Casey) Burnett, Ashlee (Paul) Woolery and Abby, Dalton, Madison and Marissa Burnett; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Don) Voyles and Sue (Don) Tehle; brother, Dick (Jan) Burnett.

Funeral Service Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:30AM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. Visitation Wednesday 5-8PM, also at the funeral home. Interment at the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St Mary’s Catholic Church or the Omaha VA Medical Center.
