Harold E. Pace

Harold “Gene” Pace, age 76, passed away surrounded by family on August 28th, 2024. He was born on December 29, 1947 in Omaha, NE to Harold and Clara Pace. He graduated from Benson High in 1966 and Creighton University in 1970, playing basketball for both schools. He married Jolene on May 6, 1978. Gene loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved boating on the Missouri River, attending Creighton basketball and Husker football games. He loved talking about music and cars with everyone. Gene was inducted into the Benson High Hall of Fame and the Omaha Hospitality Hall of Fame. He worked in the wine and spirits industry for 46 years. He served on many industry boards and loved giving his time. He was incredibly loyal to his family and friends and always willing to help. He is survived by his loving wife, Jolene; children, Kristin Malone, Eric Malone (Jessica), Jill Mullen (Jim) and Ryan Pace (Audra); eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. 

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 9th at 11:00 am at Lifegate Church West Dodge to reminisce and honor the life of Gene. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson’s Research or Lifegate Church.
