Moberg, Henry “Hank”

Henry was born in Omaha, NE to Johanna and Henry Moberg.Hank served as a marine aviator in WWII and was awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross " for his extraordinary achievements in a bombing mission in Korea. The bomb release mechanism Captain Moberg's craft failed to function, he left the formation and made another run alone in his plane. As a result, he attracted all enemy fire to his aircraft, while releasing the bombs manually.Hank retired at age 89 after working for several Chevrolet dealerships including his own in Valley, NE.
Hank is preceded in death by his parents and lovely wife, Harriet Moberg. He is survived by loving family and lifelong friends.
Memorial Service Thursday, Jan 15, 2015 at 10AM at the Pacific Street Chapel. Inurnment at Graceland Park Cemetery.
