Charles E. Peterson III was found dead in his home Aug. 31 in Austin, Texas. He was
59 years old. Austin Police are investigating his death as a homicide.
He was born March 31, 1958 to Marjorie and Charles E. Peterson Jr. He graduated
from Omaha Central High School in 1976, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in
1982.
Chuck moved to Dallas-Fort Worth in 1983, where he excelled in selling residential and
commercial real estate. He moved Austin in 1993, where he owned and operated
Austin City Properties.
He was a member of the Austin Board of Realtors, the National
Association of Realtors, the Texas Real Estate Commission and the Texas Real Estate
Political Action Committee.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie M. Peterson; his grandparents;
and aunts and uncles. He is survived by his father, Charles E. Peterson Jr., and
stepmother, Eileen Peterson; a stepbrother, Michael Segan; an uncle, an aunt and
cousins.
Services:
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 6116 Dodge Street.
Visitation:
Visitation will begin at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 12 at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 1010 N. 72nd Street with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M.
Interment:
Calvary Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.
