Jack L. Stouder

May 12, 1931 — June 16, 2022

We all know that life here on earth is only temporary. Jack, at the age of 91, passed away Thursday, June 16th at the home of Jackie and Jim Hislop in Olathe, KS, where he'd lived for almost 3 years. He passed peacefully and was surrounded by loved ones.



Jack worked for the family company, Stouder Furnace, until getting a job at the Union Pacific Railroad where he worked until he retired after 46 years of service. During his early years at the UP, he served 8 years in the US Army Reserves.



He married Margie Lee Miler on June 21, 1950 in Omaha, NE. They had 3 children. Margie passed away July 3,1960. He married Helen Wredt March 25,1962. She had 2 daughters. They were married 54 years. Helen passed June 30, 2016.



Those whom he will join in heaven besides his parents are: Wives: Margie and Helen; Sisters: Jean, Betty and JoAnn; Brothers: Bill, Lloyd, Dick and Jerry .



Those left to cherish his memory are: Daughters: Cindy (Jim) Growcock and Jackie (Jim) Hislop; Son: Daniel; Step-Daughters: JoAnn Snell andCarolyn Martens; Grandchildren – 12; Great Grandchildren – 31 + 1 BONUS; Great-Great Grandchild – 1; Sister: Mary Ridge; Other family and friends including Darlene Stouder, Jack Nichols, many nieces and nephews and family friends.





Funeral Service Friday, 11:00am at the 72nd Street Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.



The family requests that all attendees wear comfortable Big Red clothes.



Visitation with the family Thursday, 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the 72nd Street Chapel.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association – Omaha Chapter.
