Jim was born in January 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Cheri and Jerry Geiger. As a child, he enjoyed coloring which eventually grew into drawing pictures—especially of animals. He would spend summers at the family ranch in Stewartsville, Missouri working for his grandfather, J.P. Grimes, and spending time with his grandmother Jeanne.
As he grew older, Jim would become a talented drummer, playing along with some of his favorite rock albums by Rush. He enjoyed a variety of sports including golf and tennis and could outplay the best. Jim was a talented tradesman, working as a steamfitter and then later as a welder. He had a knack for making perfect beads on the first pass.
Jim is survived by children, James, Jr. (Megan), Mark, and Claire Geiger; mother, Cheri Lindholm; step-father, John Lindholm; sister, Joy (Haley) Lindholm. Preceded in death by father, Jerry Geiger.
