Mary “Jill” Pearson was born on December 25, 1955 to Dale and Mary Ann Burks in Omaha, Nebraska.
Jill was baptized at Holy Name Catholic Church and completed 12 years of education there, graduating in
1974. Jill was the third of six children in the Burks family.
Jill met Steve Pearson during their years at Holy Name and were married there in 1977. Jill was all about
family and was the perfect Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, and Friend. Jill was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband Steve, children; Mary “Jeanette” Pearson, Mark (Niki) Pearson, Jay
(Kristen) Pearson, and Leanne Jamison; grandchildren; Lyla, Claire, Kyler, Quinn, Reese and Saige Pearson, Charleigh, Lincoln, and Tesley Jamison; siblings; Jim (Chris) Burks, Jody Vincent, Jane Cannon, Jeanette Burks; sister-in-law Lisa Burks; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Ann and brother, J. D. Burks.
VISITATION: Begins Thursday, 5:00 PM, January 4, 2024, at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 72nd Street Chapel
with a WAKE SERVICE at 7:00 PM.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Begins Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist, 307 E Meigs
Street, Valley, NE 68064 at 10:30 AM followed by luncheon at the Church.
INTERNMENT: Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 7800 West Center Road.
MEMORIALS to: Bethlehem House Omaha or Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Omaha
