Joan Eileen Rose

Rose, Joan E. Age 83. June 11, 1938-January 20, 2022. Joan Eileen (Mason) Rose of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully on January 20, 2022 at the age of 83. Joan was born in Omaha, NE to the late Ralph C. and Lila V. (Saul) Mason. Joan graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1956 and attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she met her future husband, Bert M. Rose Jr. They were married on November 24, 1967. Joan had a long career with the US Army Corps of Engineers NWO-Operations division. She was a beloved and devoted mother and grandmother. Survived by daughter Jennifer (Michael) Heskin of Elkhorn, NE, grandchildren Seth and Sarah Heskin of Elkhorn, NE, sisters: Beverly Patterson (Ft. Collins, CO), Donna Van Pelt (Lenexa, KS), Lois Anderson (Omaha, NE), brother Robert Mason (Ashland, NE) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by loving husband of 35 years, Bert M. Rose Jr. and parents Ralph and Lila Mason. Per Joan’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. A private family burial will be held.
