Keith J. Schmidt

Preceded in death by his parents, and sister Helen Ehrlich (Marvin). Survived by his wife Lila (Plock) Schmidt, Siblings Jay Schmidt (Barbara), Georgia Stevens (Wayne), Children Mark Schmidt (Michelle) Kristen Humphrey (Warren), Karen Black (Michael) Grandchildren Nathan, Mckenna, and Hailey Schmidt; Joshua, Calista, and Matthew Humphrey; Brandon and Morgan Black.

Keith graduated from Northeast high school Lincoln, NE and received his Bachelors degree in Business from UNL. He married Lila in 1966 and moved to Omaha. He worked at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., Norwest Bank and Mutual of Omaha. He enjoyed reading, traveling, golf, and being a member of the German American Society where he was an officer and a member of Die Singenden Wanderer men's chorus. He really enjoyed the camaraderie of the singers. He took serious his commitment of volunteer work.

Keith was his family's hero and rock, always providing a kind word and a helpful hand, a good sense of humor and praise when needed. He loved God, family, church and friends.
