Kimberly Ann Culp

December 2, 1949 — May 26, 2017

Kim passed away May 26, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born December 2, 1949 in Akron, OH. Kim was raised in Canton, OH where she graduated from Glenwood Senior High School, earned her Bachelors degree at The Ohio State University and her Masters degree from the University of Kansas. Kim devoted her entire career to the welfare of children. She began as a teacher and then spent many years at Father Flanagan's BoysTown, finishing her career as the Director of the Juvenile Assessment Center of Douglas County. A champion for restorative justice, Kim advocated tirelessly for children's rights and reformative education. She was a passionate professional who inspired others to do the same. A dedicated Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Kim never missed an opportunity to cheer for her favorite team. During her brief retirement she was active in The League of Women Voters, in Omaha, and various social clubs.



Kim is survived by her devoted partner, Gary Bryan, and his family, her sisters, Laurie Eisaman and Beth Lechner (Joe) and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.



Services:

A Memorial Celebration of a life well lived will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 9:30 am at Boys Town Dowd Chapel, 13943 Dowd Drive, Omaha, NE.
