Larry D. Larsen

To all who knew him, he was ‘Uncle’ Larry, that was big “L”, little “a”, rry. He was our hero. He was kind-hearted, patient, loving, generous, strong, and dedicated. He always worked to provide for our family rarely taking time for himself. He instilled this commitment to family and work ethic in all of us. His care for our sister and mother is worthy of sainthood.

His pastime consisted of keeping in touch with his kids and grandkids. He loved giving us a call with his joke of the week. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and giving everyone he met a special nickname so he could remember you. He was adamant about going to Family Fare to pick up his daily lottery tickets, determined to win so his family would be forever taken care of, and don’t forget the Copenhagen long cut, it was always there for him in a pinch.

We will miss you but find comfort in knowing you are at peace and forever thankful for all the memories you will leave us with.

Survived by wife, Margaret; children, Jennifer Niemier, John (Tonia) Larsen, Don (Linda) Larsen, Laura Larsen and Christine (Cory) Potts; grandchildren: Shelby and Jerry Niemier, Melissa Larsen, Matthew (Paige) Berger, Rebecca (Sean) Payne, Phillip Caine, Lexi and Cole Larsen, Ross (Avery) and Luke Cadena, Avery and Hudson Potts; great grandchildren: Hunter Caine, Jaxon and Xander Berger; sisters, Janet Taylor, Sandra (Andy) Kilgore, Susan (Dave) Mowery and Tammy McCoy. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Bernice Larsen.

Visitation with the family Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 at 9:30AM, followed by a Rosary at 10:30AM and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s or AARP Wish of a Lifetime.
