Lee H Swanson

Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Marjorie; siblings, Baby Howard, Arden, Earl, Mabel, Violet, Elmer and Ruby; grandson, Austin.

He is survived by his children, Curt, Mike and Arden (Karen Whitehill) Swanson; grandchildren, Dustin, Alison, Brett (Audra), Colleen (Brady), Brandon and James; great grandchildren, Natalie, Tobin, Riley, Emberly, Owen and Brinley; siblings, Bill, Leona, Marlene, Howard and June.

Lee was born in Russell, MN to Olaf and Minnie (Christiansen) Swanson. He joined the US Army in 1945 at Ft. Bragg, NC and was honorably discharged in April of 1947. He was married Marjorie Kennedy on December 17, 1949 in Council Bluffs, IA until her death on September 22, 1993.

Lee worked as a farm hand, heavy equipment operator, auto body repair technician, door to door salesman before spending 39 wonderful years at OPPD.

Home and family were always his priority. He loved caring for his beautiful home and being a great host along with his wife, his very best friend of 45 years.

Services:

Memorial service Saturday, 10:30am at the John A. Gentleman Bellevue – Sarpy County Chapel. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
