Leo Charles Green

Leo C. Green was born March 3, 1954 in Council Bluffs, IA to Francis and Irene (O’Rourke) Green. He grew up with his brothers and sisters in the Harlan, IA area. After he graduated high school, he and his father started G & G Transportation. They were later joined in business by his brother, Tom. Leo drove and repaired his own semis. He met Sandy Conrad and they were married on May 1, 1976. Leo and Sandy had three children that he loved immensely and 12 grandchildren that he adored. He had a talent for working with his hands and enjoyed refurbishing houses in his free time. Leo enjoyed teasing his grand children and could always find spare time for a good nap.



Leo is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandy; his children, Kelly (Tammy) Green, Justin (Jill) Green and Meghan (Nick) Paulsen; his twelve grandchildren, Kailey Meyer, Madison and Kolten Green, Jaden and Jandi Green, Koby Paulsen, Theron Sorensen, Josie Paulsen, Josephine Sorensen, Jaydin Nowatzke, Margaret Paulsen and Isabelle Paulsen; his siblings, Mary Jo (Darrell) Klein, Robert Green, Teresa (Thomas) Scherer, Thomas (Colette) Green and Geralyn (Arlan) Christensen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Irene (O’Rourke) Green, brother, Donald Green, sister, Susan Green and sister in law, Julia Green.
