Age 80 of Rancho Mirage, California passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Tish was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. James B. Low, Omaha, Nebraska on July 13, 1934.Born and raised in Omaha, Tish spent her summers at Cheley Colorado Camp in Estes Park Valley and climbed all the major Colorado mountain peaks, a continued source of pride. She attended Brownell Hall (now Brownell Talbot School) from elementary thru high school before attending Southern Methodist University where she was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She graduated from University of Nebraska in 1956 with a degree in Fine Arts.During the early years of their marriage, Tish and her husband lived in Baltimore and Beacon Hill in Boston which gave her an opportunity to make close friends from all parts of the country. They returned to Omaha in 1963. While being the mother to four active children, she still pursued her interests. As a member of the Junior League of Omaha, she became an active volunteer in the Omaha community. Her volunteer career had many highlights including running the Joslyn Art Museum gift shop making it a significant revenue contributor and serving on the board of the Joslyn Art Museum Association. Her passion for the arts led her to be active in founding the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, Nebraska. She served on the Ak-Sar-Ben Women’s Ball Committee and was Chairman of the Omaha Symphony Guild Debutante Ball. In her ‘spare’ time, she built high quality miniature rooms, a hobby that resulted in several ‘essential’ trips to England for background research. Tish was active in sports and particularly enjoyed being with her friends and family on the golf course where her infectious smile made everyone feel better about their golf game. She was a long-time member of the Omaha Country Club, the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO; and Thunderbird Country Club, Rancho Mirage, California where she enjoyed retirement with her husband. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Scribner King, her husband of 60 years, Dr. John W.
