Ligaya C. Reyes

Ligaya C Reyes, 80, passed away 9/24/2024.

Born in the Philippines, she graduated with a degree from University of the Philippines and was a registered dietitian. She emigrated to the US and practiced in New York, Miami, San Antonio, Lexington, Philadelphia and Omaha, before retiring. She lived with her son and daughter in law and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and gardening.

She is preceded in death by parents Emiliano and Eugenia Chavez, brother-in-law Angel de Castro.

She is survived by her son Ricardo (Ashley) Reyes, her former husband Patricio Reyes, siblings Ruben (Dollie) Chavez, Evelyn Chavez de Castro, Emiliano (Maria Victoria) Chavez JR, Alice Chavez, and Rene (Regina) Chavez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Arbor Day Foundation.
