Linda S. Baumann

July 20, 1957 — March 23, 2021

Linda Baumann, 63, of Bellevue Nebraska died unexpectedly early Monday morning.



Linda was born in 1957 in Oakland, California to Wayne and Helen Bertwell. She grew up in Lincoln, NE and graduated from Southeast High School. After graduation she joined the Army as a communications specialist and was stationed in Georgia, Colorado, Germany, and Korea among other stations. After the Army she was a longtime employee of the State of Nebraska in various positions including dispatcher for the State Patrol and as an investigator for the Auto Fraud unit. She then worked as a Special Agent for NCIB in Chicago for several years. After moving back to Nebraska she worked as a technical support engineer for Ellie Mae.



Linda is survived by her three daughters, Heather (Ricky) Zaske, Amy (Monte) Brummet, and Reva Baumann (Levi Weigman); grandchildren, Brenna, Liam, and Tripp; siter, Tammy Kassebaum; nieces and nephew, Marci, Ashley, Jack and Dani; and her beloved dogs, Jax and Barrett.



Funeral Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:30AM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. Visitation Sunday 3:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Interment with military honors at Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials to the family for later designation.
