Lynn M. Corley, Age 71 years
Mrs. Lynn M. Corley, aka Nana, daughter of the late Lloyd and Katherine Nagle, was born April 19, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Cleveland Heights High School and studied business at John Carroll University. At a young age she and her siblings, Lloyd Jr. and Suzie, often took part in neighborhood baseball games in the summer and ice skating in the wintertime. This early love of sports and the outdoors remained a passion throughout her life.
She was married to Kevin Corley June 29, 1979 in Chicago, IL and along with a budding family her legendary love for the Chicago Cubs was born. Children came in quick succession and she devoted herself completely to her family. She was an amazing homemaker and mother. Lynn could often be found with the game on cheering for her boys. She always had a thing for third basemen…until the arrival of Anthony Rizzo, her newest boy. One of her lifelong dreams came true when the Cubs became the 2016 World Series champions- it was glorious. Her passion for the Cubs has been inherited by her husband and children.
Lynn was an active participant in golf leagues throughout Omaha and that is where she made some of her dearest friends. She believed a person’s character showed through their conduct on the course. Unfortunately, her children are terrible golfers. Her vigor for life was boundless and she worked to instill this in each of her children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Katherine Nagle. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; her sibling, Lloyd; her four children, Bryan (Molly), Kate, James and Doug; her six grandchildren, Kyla, Spencer, Sophie, Eva, Emerson and Everly. She was with us when we took our first breaths and we were with her when she took her last. She will be missed, but remembered and thought of each and every day.
