Mack was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was passionate about life, family, faith, friends, dentistry, travel, sports, lawn mowing and country.
Mack was born in Omaha, in 1943 and lived here his entire life. He spent years in scouting, earning his Eagle Scout rank. Mack, a proud Omaha North graduate, met Barb while attending Creighton University Dental School and was married in 1967. He was honored to serve in the Army and upon returning from Vietnam in 1970, he opened his practice at 72nd and Western, and has practiced ever since.
Barb and their two children, Mack II and Jennifer were the most important people in Mack’s life. His love and joy just kept growing with the births of his four grandchildren, Mack III, Milo, Elizabeth, and MacKenzie. Blessed with his first great grandchild Malcom, Mack was very happy.
Mack loved dentistry. His love of his career had both of his children following in his footsteps. His passion showed in his ongoing desire to learn new techniques and procedures all the time. He had just returned from a meeting where he was so excited to continue to help his many patients that he always treated as an extension of his family.
Mack loved sports, participating in baseball, tennis, golf, skiing and coaching soccer. His enthusiasm for sports was passed on to his kids, of course. Once the grandchildren came along, he continued his love and support following basketball, cross country, track, volleyball, soccer and even ballet.
Mack forever had Barb at his side whether it was traveling, cheering on kids and grandkids, attending dental functions and seminars, going to church, or simply enjoying a great meal. They shared a love of family, home, faith, and good friends.
Even though Mack left us unexpectedly, we find comfort knowing his life was full and his love for all was strong.
We love him and will miss him forever.
