Sally was born in Dunbar, Nebraska on March 6, 1920. She graduated from Lourdes Academy in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Sally was married to Norvin Jones on April 14, 1941, they were married 62 years. Norvinwas a well-known Omaha pharmacist and the proprietor of Countryside Pharmacy, located near Westside High School, in west Omaha.
Sally was a kind and loving wife and mother involved in all her families’ activities including her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her unfailing good humor and cheerful temperament were a joy to her many friends, bridge club partners of 50 years and the many people’s lives she brightened in her final years at Lakeside Village and The Lighthouse.
Sally is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Peggy Jones, Sugar Land, Texas, and daughter and son-in-law Jone and Glenn Boland; St. Louis, MO, granddaughter, Serena Jones, grandson Noah and wife Jennifer Boland, grandson Jacob Boland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sally is preceded in death by all of her siblings, Max Helfer, Phyllis McKay, Marilee Murphy and Faye Price.
Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday,at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S 86thSt, Omaha NE.
Visitation:
Visitation begins Tuesday at 5:30 PM with a Wake Service at 7:00 PM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, Pacific Street Chapel, 14151 Pacific Street Omaha, Nebraska 68114.
