Marianna Maczynski, 82, passed away on November 22 after a long battle related to kidney disease. She defied all odds and survived dialysis treatments three times per week for 21 years. Marianna was born in Poland and immigrated to the U.S., where she spent much of her life in Bellevue. She was a seamstress for many years and especially enjoyed catering to the military, police, and firemen in the area. She was proud to be an American and became a U.S. citizen later in life.Marianna was preceded in death by parents Branislaw Maszkowski and Janina Maszkowska, sister Helena and brother Stanislaw. She is survived by brother Jan and sisters Jachka, Irena, and Danuta.Marianna has daughters Grazyna and Vivian and sons John, Adam, and Feliks as well as twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.Visitation services will be from 5-7pm on Friday, December 1st at John A. Gentleman Mortuary at 14151 Pacific Street in Omaha with a wake starting at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 2nd at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
