Marilyn Jepson Homann Cain

March 3, 1926 — August 21, 2017

Marilyn Ann Jepson was born to James R. and Pearl Jean Andrews Jepson on March 3, 1926 in Onawa, Iowa. She and her parents, with sisters Janis and Nancy, farmed near Onawa. Marilyn graduated from high school at Blencoe, Iowa in 1944. The family moved to Omaha shortly after. Marilyn worked at Union Pacific and Mutual of Omaha before her marriage to Henry Eldon Homann in 1948. Marilyn and Eldon had three children: Stephanie, Jim and Shelley. After some years at home, Marilyn returned to Mutual and excelled as an instructor in the claims training department. In 1986 Marilyn married Robert H. Cain who predeceased her in January, 2017. Her parents, sister Janis Gale and granddaughter Rachel Pauba Simon preceded her in death. Marilyn is survived by her children: Stephanie and Larry Moeller, Jim and Jane Homann, and Shelley and Jeff Pauba as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sarah and Brad Moeller-Johnson (Jackson, Sam, Jake, and Brian); Andrew and Chelsey Moeller (Addison and Colin); James Homann; Derek and Jennie Homann (Nolan and Everly); and Chelsea Pauba. Also surviving are sister Nancy and Bill Cain, niece Jane Creamer and nephews Mark and Brian Petersen and their families. Marilyn will also be missed by Bob's children and their families: Mike and Rita Cain (now deceased), Larry and Sue Cain, David and Sharon Cain, John and Chris Cain, and Nancy and Rob Engdahl (now deceased).



Services:

Friday, August 25, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Maplewood United Methodist Church, Omaha, NE. Interment Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn, NE.



Visitation:

Thursday, August 24, 2017, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John A. Gentleman 72nd St. Chapel. Memorials to Siena-Francis House or Maplewood United Methodist Church.
