Marjorie Catherine Sogard

Marjorie Catherine (Vesely) Sogard of Bellevue, NE entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2018. Marjorie was born November 24, 1942 in David City, NE to Charles and Irma (Shalon) Vesely. She graduated from Brainard High School in Brainard, NE in 1960. After graduation she moved to Lincoln, NE to work for Russell Stovers Candy. This is where she met her husband and best friend. Marjorie was united in marriage to Gary Gene Sogard on October 20, 1962 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, NE. Marjorie was an Air Force wife, where she traveled with Gary to different assignments for 28 years. She worked overseas for the military in Oslo, Norway. After returning to Nebraska, Marjorie had worked for the government as a Civil Service employee for 30 years as a secretary while at Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, NE. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (Capehart Chapel).

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary; son, Steven Scott Sogard and his wife, Serena of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Lucille Marshall of Hartford, CN and Carolyn (Robert) Ohnoutka of Wetson, NE; brothers, Jerry (Mary) Vesely of Loveland, CO, Charles (Cheryl) Vesely of Wahoo, NE, and Clarence (Julie) Vesely of Fort Hood, TX. She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Irma Vesely.
