Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Marlin Keeler passed away surrounded by family on June 27, 2022. His quick wit, wisdom and generous spirit will be missed by all.
Marlin was born on October 27, 1949, in Newman Grove, Nebraska. He was the youngest of 5 siblings. He graduated from high school in Monroe, Nebraska, where he played basketball and met his sweetheart, Pam, who cheered him on from the sidelines. They moved to Omaha in 1969 and were married for 53 years. Marlin loved spending time with his family, always hosting a weekly Sunday dinner. He is survived by wife, Pam; children: Tim (Shannon) and Tamie (David); grandchildren: Madeleine and Emma.
He enjoyed a long career in the Omaha auto industry. He wore many hats, starting off as a mechanic and eventually owning gas stations, auto repair shops, and car dealerships. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and golf. He was on several bowling leagues and competed in professional bowling tournaments. He was also an avid golfer and spent many days hitting the links with friends in Omaha and throughout the country.
For many years, he volunteered with “Bluffs-Omaha Swing Fore the Cure Charity Golf Tournament” and helped raise money for childhood cancer. In lieu of flowers, his family asks to send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to continue his tradition of charitable giving.
