Mary A. Mangus of Omaha, NE died Sunday, July 23, 2017. Born on Tuesday, July 18, 1933 in Norfolk, NE. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Eileen (O’Brien) and James Leslie Markey of Englewood, CO.



She is survived by husband of 65 years, Richard Allen Mangus, son of the late Hudson Mangus “Hud” and Edith Bell (Smith) of Commerce City, CO. Also survived by 4 daughters: “Patti” Patricia Ann (Reed Gene) Grimes of The Woodlands, TX, Robin Elizabeth (Curtis Lee) Boeck, Mary Kay (Michael Wave) Leatherman, Julie Denise (Richard Lee “Rich”) Hahler all of Omaha, NE; 3 siblings: Rosalie Agnes Ann (Markey) Craig of Littleton, CO, James Peter Markey of Colorado Springs, CO, and Sr. Barbara Jane Markey of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren: Collin Reed (Brook Nicole Bailey) Grimes of Houston, TX, Chad Richard Grimes of The Woodlands, TX, Cristin Rae Grimes of Denver, CO, James Curtis Boeck of Milwaukee, WI, John Richard Boeck, Michael Gaylord Boeck, Connor James Hart, Morgan Elizabeth Leatherman, Sean Michael Leatherman, Grace Eileen Hahler, and Abigail Mary Jane Hahler all of Omaha, NE.



Mary was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Elizabeth Mary “Betty” Markey “Sister Campion” of Rochester, MN, Joan Marie (Markey) O’Connell of Lakewood, CO, John Richard Markey of Norfolk, NE, Joseph Francis Markey of San Antonio, TX, and Regina Teresa (Markey) McCulloh of Denver, CO. 4 grandparents: James William O’Brien “Colonel” of Wood River, NE, Mary Agnes (Carey) O’Brien of Wood River, NE, Michael “Peter” Markey and Bridget Agnes (Murphy) Markey of St Alphonse, Joliette, Quebec, Canada.



Services:

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church



Visitation:

Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 5:00PM with a WAKE Service at 7:00PM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries 72nd Street Chapel



Interment:

Omaha National Cemetery
