Mary E. Castilla

Mary E. Castilla went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Papillion Manor skilled nursing facility at the age of 78. She was born July 28, 1942 in Mississippi, the daughter of Aubrey and Elizabeth Acey.



Mary was united in marriage to Hector Castilla in Galveston, Texas on November 30, 1962; he preceded her in death June 16, 2002. They had two children Elizabeth and Brian. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother with her strong faith in her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She started her working career in food services and ended it as an office manager. Her diagnosis of Rheumatiod Arthritis took a disabling toll on her. However, she took joy in her grandchildren, attending Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Teoc Community, MS when she was able, and her love of reading. She was cared for by her daughter in Mississippi and her son when she moved to Nebraska.



Mary will be dearly missed by her daughter, Elizabeth of Grenada, MS, her son Brian of Bellevue, NE, her daughter-in-law Lana and grandchildren: Katie, Carly, Janessa and Braylan. She is further survived by 5 sisters, 2 brothers, other relatives
