Mary Ellen Merwald
July 12, 1928 — February 20, 2019
Born in Harlan, Ia. Mary Ellen graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Omaha. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was a Big Red Football fan. She was also active in the Christ Child Society and was an Eucharistic Minister at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Francis (Doc) Merwald; son, Craig Merwald; daughter in law, Paige Merwald; parents, Sherman and Mayme Buss; baby sister, Sarah.
Survived by children, Pam (J.R.) Vranesic, Lynne (Ted) Batchelder, Julie (Phil) Maloney, Sarah Monteith; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
