Marylin Jane Salter passed away Saturday, December 7th. She was 80 years old.
Born on May 6, 1943, in Council Bluffs, IA. Marylin grew up in Missouri Valley, IA but moved to Virginia with her husband of almost 60 years, Charles who preceded her in death in 2021, while he was in the Navy. After his discharge they returned to the midwest and raised two sons in Omaha, NE.
Marylin was an avid runner and had a love of gardening and sewing. She worked for First National Bank of Omaha for 40 years before retiring to enjoy those hobbies more.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Matthew (Laura), Kevin (Nicole), her grandchildren Nicholas (Angela), Kylie (Alex), Anya, Hannah (Devin), Jaelyn and three great grandchildren Shane, Quinn and Izabella.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation with the family Sunday, December 29, 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Pacific Street Chapel with private interment in Omaha National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society in honor of all homeless cats she adopted and loved through the years.
